A UNIQUE TAKE ON EDM & THEATRICAL MUSIC

Hybridizing genres which may have become stale and repetitive to reignite a sense of inspiration and awe without detracting from the mainstream appeal; that is my goal. With over 12 years of experience in electronic dance, theatrical and video game music I have crafted an original approach to music production which utilizes only the best qualities of multiple genres to create evocative, immersive soundscapes. My mission is to bring music to the forefront of film, video games and artist productions, using it to immerse the listener in an experience rather than becoming background noise.

Electronic Drum Synthesis and Beat Mapping 101

There are hundreds of tools out there for sequencing drum samples, editing existing drum loops, and mapping samples together to create original sounds made from layers but how many of these tools are actually necessary to create a quality drum loop for your production? So without further adieu, here it is: What do you think? Did it make you feel something?

A new bill in the U.S. House of Representatives is being introduced in Congress this week that would give producers, engineers and mixers — often times the unsung and forgotten heroes in the whole song-making process — a piece of the digital royalty pie. The Allocation for Music Producer Act, or AMP Act (H.R. 1457), is being formally introduced by congressmen from both sides of the aisle: Reps. Joe Crowley (D-New York) and Tom Rooney (R-Florida). This will certainly change the way companies interact with freelance producers, and although mostly positive, might impact freelance engineers and producers in a positive or negative fashion by giving companies an incentive to hire in-house employees rather than outsource to freelance workers, since they will be paid royalties regardless. …
